CAMERAS/PHOTOGRAPHY and general discussion about frog photos
« : September 08, 2013, 11:13:02 AM »

New Camera for me on the way. Will be here in time to bring to Frog Day 2013!

Finally upgrading from my P&S, so maybe, just maybe the pics here will improve.

Went with Oly EPL5. I had a few I liked a little better but all >1K with a lens and I just don't think I needed 'all that'.

This should work and still keep it 'in the pocket' for the most part.

The Olympus PEN E-PL5 is a mid-range mirror-less compact system camera (CSC) with a 16 Megapixel sensor and a 3in articulated touch screen.
Best,
Shawn

I will say the Olympus Tough series of cameras are GREAT for Point/Shoot in the rainforest. Waterproof to like 50ft, I used one in CR , Panama and Peru.

Could jump right in the water and take underwater pics, not worry about rain etc.

I would rec them to any adventurer, to at least have 'in the bag', if not the only camera they take along.

Best,
Shawn
